The following will guide your client installation for Mac
When access has been granted to the Myota bucketZero Workspace an automated “Welcome to Myota” email will be sent. This will include the option to set your password and install the Myota Desktop client.
You can additionally access the client installation software from https://kb.myota.io/myota-downloads by choosing the correct desktop or mobile app.
The Client installation wizard takes you step-by-step through configuration options and account setup. Installation on Mac OS X is the same as for any software application: download the program and then double-click it to launch the installation, and then follow the installation wizard. After it is installed and configured the sync client will automatically keep itself updated.
For Mac
- The installation wizard will open and prompt you to enter the URL for your bucketZero instance. This URL is the same one that you use in your web browser to access your bucketZero workspace.
- For example, enter the URL https://company.bucketzero.cloud in your web browser, as demonstrated below.

- Once you click Next, the client will switch to your browser and open automatically.
- Once the browser is open, you will be prompted to log in to your bucketZero instance. Simply enter your username and password in your web browser to grant access. Please note that if you are already logged in to your browser, you may not need to enter your username and password again.

- After successfully logging in, return to the Mac wizard to continue the installation process.
- Once you are in the MAC wizard options screen, you will be able to choose whether you want to sync all of your files on the bucketZero server or select specific folders. By default, the local sync folder is called bucketZero and it is located in your home directory (Local Folder).
- After selecting your sync folders, simply click on the Connect button located at the bottom right. The client will then attempt to establish a connection with your bucketZero server. Once the connection is successfully established, the wizard will automatically close itself. To monitor the sync activity, you can open the main dialogue by clicking on the tray icon.
